You’ll be part of a forward thinking team that is supported and valued, a key member of a growing organisation that offers opportunities to develop your career, where you can use all your skills and experience to really make a difference.Our Healthcare Professionals carry out assessments and provide healthcare in custody environments for detainees, victims and staff across Police Forces, the Home Office and the Border Force.The role includes:• Building and maintaining a committed team of HCPs, conducting reviews and appraisals as required.• Provide governance advice and support for team members in accordance with the C&C(H) Clinical Governance policy. • Organise rotas and deploy members of the team to ensure that the service is provided at all times in accordance with contractual requirements whilst working as an operational HCP as part of the normal 24/7 shift rota.• Provide advice, guidance and support to Custody Officers, investigating officers and individual where required.• Develop and maintain effective working practices with external healthcare providers, such as the ambulance services, mental health teams and drug and alcohol services. • Keep accurate and complete records of the HCP Team working hours; annual leave and sickness and ensure reporting requirements are achieved.• Manage C&C(H) local pharmacy procedures in liaison with the Clinical Lead. • Manage and promote the health and safety for staff and detainees in accordance with the C&C(H) H&S policy, taking action to remedy any identified problems and working in a way which minimises risk.• Represent their HCP team Clinical Governance meetings and be willing to participate in policy consultation and writing to continuously improve quality across the company.• Ensure medicines, drugs and equipment are maintained, accounted for and audited, complying with C&C(H) and professional guidelines.• Become a licentiate member of the FFLM and undertake other role training and development as required.Required skills:• Have been continuously resident in the UK for at least 36 months• A full UK driving licence• Registered General Nurse• Competent in oral and written English• FULL Registration with the HCPC/NMC at Level 1 Registered Nurse Adult or equivalent• A minimum of two years’ experience in a police forensic medicine environmentIn return for your dedication and commitment we offer:• On-going professional development with FFLM training accredited by Teesside University• A flexible, progressive career path in a people centered company• £250 Refer a Friend Scheme• A huge benefits package including pension schemes, private medical cover, share schemes, childcare vouchers, and MiDeals discount scheme with over 3000 offers available from your favourite retailersWe know it’s our people that make our organisation great, and we’re looking for more dedicated and passionate people to join us and share our values.This is your opportunity to make a real difference within an organisation that puts people first
